A visit in south Tyrol - Italy

From the 25th to the 28th of September, Our Lady in the Czestochowa Icon, visited South Tyrol, a province in northern Italy.  There, the pilgrimage was organized by two pro-life groups, the Italian- and the German-speaking group.  Subsequently, all of the celebrations, prayers and songs were conducted in both languages.

At first, on the way to Croatia, Our Blessed Mother stopped at Treviso, at the the Church of St. John of the Cross.  The solemn Sacrifice of the Holy Mass was celebrated by eight priests.  The faithful remained to venerate the Icon until midnight.

The next day, on Wednesday, the 26th of September, Our Lady was hosted at the Church of St. Toscana in Verona, in the Venetian region.  On Thursday, the Icon arrived at Schio, where veneration lasted until 4:00 p.m., followed by a departure for the Church of St. Clare in Trento.

At 2:00 p.m., Bolzano (Bozen) greeted Our Blessed Mother in great numbers in the Verdi Plaza.  During the procession across the city, the men, dressed in regional costumes of South Tyrol, from the "Schützen" group, carried the Icon into the church, where a group of seven priests celebrated the Holy Eucharist.  Regrettably, the valediction had to take place no later than at 5:00 p.m., as Our Lady was leaving for Lienz in Tyrol, but already located on the Austrian side.

A great interest and curiosity accompanied the Black Madonna in every location She visited.  People arrived in great crowds to meet Our Blessed Mother in the Icon of Czestochowa.  And so, Her farewell and departure evoked great sentiment, even tears.
