In the Cathedral of Ss. Peter and Paul in Klagenfurt

The Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa was solemnly brought in a procession into the cathedral and placed next to the main altar.  The melody of the "Black Madonna" song, with which the group of the Capuchin Friars bid farewell to Mary, resounded once more.

Reverend Gerd Tyszka presided over the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on behalf of Bishop Dr. Alois Schwarz, the bishop of the Graz-Seckau Diocese.  The presider related the history of the Icon of Czestochowa, and as a Pole, gave his personal testimony about Her presence in his own family home.  He also introduced the message of the peregrination "From Ocean to Ocean," by greeting the representatives of the International Committee, Ewa and Lech Kowalewski, who participated in the celebration of the Holy Mass.

The most persevering group of people devoted to Mary, together with Father Gerd, escorted the Icon to the Life Mobile, even though it was late already.  The illuminated "altar" magnificently highlighted the Icon and aroused great interest.  Many people were very moved and gave heartfelt thanks to the Blessed Mother for also visiting them in Her pilgrimage through the world.
